News Flash #2 (Who wants to join?!)

Take a quick look in your Windows Media Player or iTunes.

How many "Unknown Songs", "Unknown Album", "Unknown Artist"s are there in there?

That's what I thought.

So... Who wants to join my band? It's called "Unknown Artist". First album will be titled "Unknown Album" (big surprise here). I'm not going to sing, drum, or play an instrument. I'll manage the band and be the cool frontman. Song titles will include "Song 001", "Unknown Song", "543123467254" and "Unknown_Artist_Song_99"

You'll all be my bitches.
Mwahahaha.

...

Message me to audition.

Idiocy. It's a disease and it's spreading.

Do you ever feel like you're surrounded by complete and utter idiocy?

I'm having one of those days where I'm almost positive it could be labelled a disease. I'm tempted to go to the World Health Organization with this blog post as proof.

Disease Name: Infecitous Idiocious

Symptoms: Moronic babbling, spells of cluelessness, horrific B.O., inability to think about one's actions, toxic spittle that covers everything.

Description: Infected victims have a hard time thinking before they act. They lack the inability to see the uselessness of their actions. They'll do or say the same ridiculous thing over and over again, to no avail, only succeeding in annoying those present.

Their horrific B.O. and toxic spittle settle on all those within a 5 foot radius. Those found within that radius are significantly horrified, discussed, and annoyed. Those around the victim feel that only by scrubbing themselves with bleach will they ever be clean of this horrific feeling.

The victims' clueless moments blur together, jumping from one obscure and pointless conversation topic to another. When asked a direct question, victims of Infecitous Idiocious will never answer directly, instead moving onto another topic and giving an irrelevant answer.

Victims will also babble endlessly, thinking they know everything about what they're talking about. They believe they know better than everyone else, and must teach the world why they're right.

See?! A cure must be found for this horrific ailment. I should point out that this hideous disease affects every single office environment (there's one in every bunch, am I right?). W.H.O., please reconsider this psychological warfare.

News Flash #1

Dear random cyclist I passed on my way to work yesterday;

No matter how much you may think so, matching a blue plaid hat and a very different blue plaid shirt does not work. Ever. Even if they were the absolute same fabric, you'd still like an even bigger chav than you already do.

Just a little song I picked out...

This song always strikes me. I can't explain it, but it makes me so sad, yet so comforted.

I will never be the same again

I will never be the same again,
I can never return, I've closed the door.
I will walk apart, I'll run the race
And I will never be the same again.

I will never be the same again,
I can never return, I've closed the door.
I will walk apart, I'll run the race
And I will never be the same again.

Fall like fire, soak like rain,
Flow like mighty waters, again and again.
Sweep away the darkness, burn away the chaff,
And let a flame burn to glorify Your name.

There are higher heights, there are deeper seas,
Whatever you need to do, Lord do in me.
The Glory of God fills my life,
And I will never be the same again.

Fall like fire, soak like rain,
Flow like mighty waters, again and again.
Sweep aways the darkness, burn away the chaff
And let a flame burn to glorify Your name.

Fall like fire, soak like rain,
Flow like mighty waters, again and again.
Sweep away the darkness, burn away the chaff,
And let a flame burn to glorify Your name.

I will never be the same again,
I can never return, I've closed the door.
I will walk the path, I will run the race
And I will never be the same again.
And I will never be the same again.
And I will never be the same again.

Summer. It's glorious.

There truly is no more beautiful time of year than the season of summer.

In my country, the grass turns from that beautiful spring green into the half-green half-yellow summer stage, due to lack of rain. Flowers flourish despite the lack of rain, and likewise vegetables grow abundant. The lake waters warm barely enough to make swimming less suicidal, and everyone is at the beach getting their yearly dose of melanoma.

I find myself appreciating it more this year. But every minute outside feeling the warm sun on my skin seems precious and rare. That probably comes from working in a basement for 43+ hours over six days and not actually seeing daylight very often.

But just the same, this season makes me very aware of how blessed I am to live in a place that allows leisure time (albeit minimal some weeks). My life is very good, although I find many things to be sarcastic and whinny over, and I thank God everyday for blessing me with what I have: a home, a job, a patio with cold alcoholic beverages, and an abundance of people to share my life with.

I've also come to appreciate the delicateness yet strength that is nature and God's creation. Have you ever stood in a huge field and looked at a single petal of a flower, under a magnifying glass or with your sunglass-clad eyes, to see the glorious detail that is in it? One simple flower petal. So incredibly small and insignificant in this huge massive globe. And yet God made it just for that flower, for that field. For that lot. For that street. For that neighborhood, of this city. Of this province, of this country. Of this continent, of this globe. Or, I should say... HIS globe.

Pretty damn awesome, if you ask me.

Summer truly is a glorious time.
